If your employees have no pre-existing problems and you are being proactive as an employer, then these guidelines are a great start.

Professor Alan Hedge from Cornell University presented this recommendation in a live lecture in Melbourne, July 2017:

Based on research studies I recommend 20 minutes sitting (in a good posture), 8 minutes standing, (which includes getting up and sitting down) and 2 minutes of standing and moving (gentle stretching, walking etc.) as a ball park goal for organizing work.

If your employees do have a health condition, we can work with them and their treating practitioners to optimise health and productivity. Call Eva Pragier & Associates for a workstation assessment on 03 9578 6770.
